Le budget étant limité, il était donc nécessaire de trouver des solutions peu coûteuses. Le bois omniprésent donnait une impression vieillotte particulièrement dans le salon avec ses lambris roux. Comme souvent c'est la mise en peinture des murs qui a donné immédiatement une allure moderne à ce type d'intérieur. Dans le salon, c'est un vert profond qui a été appliqué sur les murs pendant cette mini rénovation.

La salle à manger déjà blanche a reçu seulement un tapis et du mobilier neuf. Dans la chambre, c'est le bleu qui a pris la vedette. Le budget total s'est élevé à 5000 $ pour la totalité du projet, ce qui est plutôt raisonnable étant donné le résultat. On peut une fois de plus dire bravo à Joanna Gaines pour son travail et ses choix.
