C'est dans un lieu mythique qui a inspiré de nombreux peintres et particulièrement Paul Cézanne, que se trouve cette maison en Provence au pied de la Sainte-Victoire, la fameuse montagne aux terres arides, qui se dresse en arrière-plan de cette bastide traditionnelle en pierres entièrement restaurée. La Bastide Blanche fait partie de la propriété du Domaine des Diables, un domaine viticole renommé, et se trouve entre Aix-en-Provence et Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume, nichée sur une des plaines du village de Puyloubier.
Ses propriétaires et concepteurs, Guillaume & Virginie Philip, propriétaires-récoltants, ont voulu ici, rendre hommage à l'architecture de la région en créant une maison Made In Provence (La maison MIP). On y vit beaucoup à l'extérieur, où l'on profite des terrasses abritées et de la piscine donnant sur un environnement entre vignes, lavandes, oliviers et garrigue. Bercés par le chant des cigales, nous profitons de cet environnement provençal préservé, et de cette maison aux détails soignés, tout en nous baignant et en admirant la montagne, que demander de plus ?
In a mythical location that has inspired many painters, particularly Paul Cézanne, you'll find this house in Provence at the foot of Sainte-Victoire, the famous mountain with its arid soils, which forms the backdrop to this fully restored traditional stone bastide. Bastide Blanche is part of the Domaine des Diables estate, a renowned vineyard, and is located between Aix-en-Provence and Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume, nestling on one of the plains of the village of Puyloubier.
Its owners and designers, Guillaume & Virginie Philip, owner-growers, wanted to pay homage to the architecture of the region by creating a Made In Provence house (La maison MIP). The house is very much an outdoor living space, with sheltered terraces and a swimming pool overlooking a landscape of vines, lavender, olive trees and garrigue. Lulled by the song of the cicadas, we enjoy this unspoilt Provencal environment, and this house with its meticulous attention to detail, while swimming and admiring the mountains - what more could you ask for?
