La décoration presque uniformément blanche n'est pas ce qui nous intéresse totalement dans ce vaste studio de 54m2 optimisé. Notre œil est également attiré par sa conception intelligente grâce à une solution IKEA, et l'installation d'un meuble qui va du sol au plafond de la gamme Elvarli, qui cache le lit sans fermer totalement l'espace. Ainsi, la zone chambre est clairement définie, et même sans fenêtre directe, bénéficie de la lumière provenant du salon. Il est rare actuellement d'avoir de telles surfaces pour un simple studio. Mais autrefois, il y a une centaine d'années, car cet appartement à Stockholm a été conçu dans les années 1920, les surfaces habitables étaient bien plus importantes.
Ce studio bénéficie en outre d'une grande cuisine, qui n'a pas pu être transformée en chambre car les travaux pour apporter les évacuations et les arrivées d'eau jusque dans le salon sont trop coûteux et difficiles. Il a donc été décidé de créer une sorte de "faux deux-pièces", en séparant l'espace chambre avec cette solution intelligente, réversible et abordable. Ainsi à l'avenir, il est possible de faire évoluer le plan sans avoir une cloison de type verrière par exemple à supprimer. La large entrée accueille également un bureau, une bonne façon d'exploiter les mètres carrés d'une surface parfois négligée.
The almost uniformly white decor isn't all that interests us in this vast 54m2 studio. Our eye is also drawn to its optimisation thanks to an IKEA solution, and the installation of a floor-to-ceiling piece of furniture from the Elvarli range, which hides the bed without completely closing off the space. As a result, the bedroom area is clearly defined, and even without a direct window, benefits from the light coming from the living room. It's rare these days to have this kind of surface area for a simple studio apartment. But in the past, a hundred years ago, as this flat in Stockholm was designed in the 1920s, living areas were much larger.
This studio also has a large kitchen, which could not be converted into a bedroom because the work involved in bringing the drains and water inlets into the living room would be too costly and difficult. So it was decided to create a sort of “false one-bedroom”, separating the bedroom area with this clever, reversible and affordable solution. This way, in the future, it will be possible to change the layout without having to remove a partition such as a glass wall. The wide entrance also houses an office, a good way of making the most of square metres of space that is sometimes neglected.
